A seamless, stress-free stay is in store at The Ryder Hotel in downtown Charleston. Find answers to questions you might have before, during, and after your stay with us.

Check-in time at The Ryder is 4 p.m. and check out time is at 11 a.m. We try to accommodate late check outs or early check-in upon request on day of, however, not guaranteed. Additional fees may apply.

Cancellations at our hotel in Charleston, SC must be made 72 hours prior to the day of arrival. Guests who do not cancel within this time will be charged for a one-night stay unless otherwise advised in the rate plan booked. Early departures without 24-hour notice will result in a charge of a one-night stay.

The Ryder Hotel accepts all major credit cards. A $100 per night incidental fee is authorized at check-in.

The Ryder has a destination amenity fee of $29 per day plus tax. This includes:

    • Complimentary drip coffee from 6 am to 11 pm
    • A $10 daily food & beverage credit to be used at Little Palm during breakfast, seven days a week, from 8 am to 10:30 am.
    • A welcome cocktail at check-in, crafted by the award-winning Little Palm Bar
    • Access to Pivotal Fitness — 24 hours
    • Access to The Ryder pool
    • Bicycle usage, based on availability
    • Hi-speed WiFi in guest rooms and all public spaces
    • Picnic + beach blankets and cooler rentals for use during your stay
    • In-room wellness equipment, including on-demand classes and yoga mats
    • Outdoor games including spike ball, bocce ball, and paddle ball
    • Wellness Passport: receive exclusive access to some of Charleston’s premier fitness studios: JaneDo, Pure Barre, The Wonderer, Pivotal Fitness, and F45. See a Ryder team member for a complimentary Wellness Passport.

Valet parking is offered at $42 per day with in and out privileges. Self-parking is not offered and off-street parking in the area is limited.

The Ryder Hotel is private property and maintains a strict policy against the use of its hotel grounds (all interior spaces, exterior grounds, etc.) for unauthorized professional or commercial photography/videography purposes. The Ryder Hotel encourages guests and visitors to take personal photography/videography of spaces throughout the hotel.

For your comfort and safety, our hotel is a 100% smoke-free and vape-free establishment. Smoking in a designated non-smoking area is subject to fine. A $250 cleaning fee will be applied to guest rooms showing signs of smoking.

The Ryder Hotel, in partnership with Pivotal Fitness, offers guests state-of-the-art equipment and facilities along with various daily cycling and aerobics classes right next door.

If classes are more your style, we offer a complimentary Wellness Passport that gives you access to Charleston’s premier fitness studios: JaneDo, Pure Barre, F45, Pivotal Fitness, and The Wonderer. Please stop by the front desk for The Ryder Fitness Pass and Wellness Passport or to inquire about our house bikes available to borrow. Additionally, yoga mats are included in every guest room should you want to Namaste in private.

We do not offer transportation services. When arriving at the airport, you will find a multitude of transportation options including taxis and ride share options.

The Charleston International Airport is 12 miles away, about a 25-minute drive.

Pack your board shorts! Both Sullivan’s Island and Folly Beach are located less than 10 miles from the hotel, a short 25-minute drive to each.

Yes, we are one of the few Charleston hotels with a pool! Access to the pool and pool deck are exclusive to guests of The Ryder Hotel and patrons of Little Palm. Learn more about our outdoor pool here.

Our rooms are best suited for single or double occupancy. We suggest that larger parties reserve a suite or multiple rooms as we have limited rollaway beds available. These are based on request only and not guaranteed. If available, there is a $15 per day fee.
